Kasur Tashi Wangdi Appointed Representative to Americas
Dharamsala 26 March, 2005: Former Kalon Tashi Wangdi has been appointed the representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to the Americas. This was announced in a circular issued by the Kashag secretariat today.
“As per the provision of the article 19 of the Rules and Regulations of the Public Service Commission, Kasur Tashi Wangdi has been appointed the representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to the Americas with effect from 16 April 2005”, the circular read. He succeeds Dr. Ngawang Rabgyal as the head of the Office of Tibet in New York.
Kasur Tashi Wangdi is currently the representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in New Delhi.
