Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel with the victors of men’s basketball tournament’s final match.

Dharamshala: Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, as the chief guest, delivered a speech at the final match of the Tibetan Martyrs Memorial Basketball Tournament on 30th April 2024. Members of the Standing Committee of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile were also present at the tournament.

This All India Basketball Tournament was organized by the Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC). The finals witnessed exciting matches between Munsel and Team 59 in the women’s category and between Red Devil and Dhasa Gangchenpa in the men’s category at the Gangkyi basketball court.

The tournament kicked off on 25th April 2024, featuring a total of 12 men’s teams and 4 women’s teams.
