Poanta: On 29 June 2026, the 55th Working Committee Meeting of the Tibetan Youth Congress was inaugurated at the Tibetan Community Hall of the Choelsum Tibetan Settlement in Paonta, Himachal Pradesh, India.

Kalon Palden Dhondup of the Department of Home, Central Tibetan Administration, attended the opening ceremony as Chief Guest, alongside Guest of Honour former Kalon and former Executive Member of the Tibetan Youth Congress, Choekyong Wangchuk. Special guests included Dr. Madan Lal Khurana, President of the regional India-Tibet Friendship Society, and Shri Aninder Singh Notty, President of Vypar Mandal.

Yeshi Tenzin, Section Head of the North India Division at the Department of Home, who accompanied the Kalon, was also among the attendees.

The Executive Committee Meeting brought together representatives from 40 regional chapters of the Tibetan Youth Congress, totalling over 90 participants.
