
Dharamshala: Additional Secretary Tsering Youdon has formally assumed charge as the Acting Secretary of the Department of Home, Central Tibetan Administration.
A formal charge handover ceremony was held at the Department of Home to mark the transition of responsibilities. During the ceremony, former Secretary Palden Dhondup officially handed over the charge to the new Acting Secretary. Secretary Dhondul Dorjee of the Department of Security attended the event on behalf of the Kashag as the official witness.
In accordance with established procedures, all official files, records, documents, and departmental inventories were formally transferred to the new Acting Secretary. The former Secretary also conveyed his congratulations and extended his best wishes to Acting Secretary Tsering Youdon for the successful tenure of her new responsibility.
The ceremony concluded with departmental staff offering traditional khatags to both the former and Acting Secretaries as a gesture of appreciation, respect, and goodwill.

Brief Biography of Acting Secretary Tsering Youdon
Additional Secretary Tsering Youdon was born on 7 January 1981 to Nyima Tsewang and Lhatso in the Phuntsokling Tibetan Settlement, Chandagiri, Odisha. She completed her Class XII education at Central School for Tibetans in Darjeeling in 2000 and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Jyoti Nivas College, Bangalore, in 2004.
She joined the Central Tibetan Administration on 27 March 2006 as an Under Secretary in the Department of Information and International Relations and received her permanent appointment on 25 October of the same year. On 18 July 2012, she was promoted to the post of Deputy Secretary and was assigned to the History Documentation and Interim Placement Section (now called History Classification and Interim Placement Section) under the Kashag.
Subsequently, she was promoted to Joint Secretary on 8 May 2019 and transferred to the Department of Health. While serving there, she was promoted to Additional Secretary on 2 December 2024 and was later transferred to the Department of Home on 16 December 2024. On 22 June 2026, she assumed charge as the Acting Secretary of the Department of Home.
