
Delhi: Chief Election Commissioner Lobsang Yeshi conducted an outreach programme in Delhi to raise public awareness ahead of the forthcoming Tibetan general election.
Following the successful conclusion of similar outreach initiatives in the Tibetan settlements of central India, the Chief Election Commissioner, accompanied by Additional Secretary Tenzin Norbu, arrived in Delhi on the night of 31 October. On 1 November, he convened a meeting with regional election officers to underscore the critical importance of impartiality, integrity, and fairness in the conduct of all electoral processes.
Later that day, Chief Election Commissioner Lobsang Yeshi addressed Tibetan residents at the Resident Welfare Association hall. He outlined the electoral rules and procedures and encouraged Tibetans to participate actively and responsibly in the upcoming election, reinforcing the significance of informed and engaged voter participation.
