Kamrao: On 10 September 2025, a ‘Year of Compassion’ event was held in Gapa Tibetan Settlement, Tillordhar, Kamrao and Sirmour. The compassionate- oriented event was held at two significant location: One at the district’s school where 53 students and 5 teachers gathered and the other at settlement’s LTA Hall where 25 community members were in attendance.

The theme explored on kindness as espoused by His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s vision of the ‘Oneness of Humanity’, with the main focus on SEE Learning (Social, Emotional, and Ethical Learning). Tenzin Tashi, a facilitator from Sambhota Tibetan School, Herbertpur, led the sessions. The event aimed to introduce ethical learning to students from a non-Tibetan school and to familiarise the community members with SEE learning.

The program’s budget was ₹13,617 which covered the overall cost of event’s transportation, meals, refreshments, and the memento to the facilitator. The program successfully fostered compassion and ethical values among children and the local community, aligning with the broader goals of the Compassionate Year.
