Paonta: On the auspicious occasion of White Wednesday (Lhakar), the Paonta Cholsum Tibetan Settlement held a special prayer ceremony as part of the ongoing ‘Year of Compassion’, a year-long celebration marking the 90th birth year of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

The gathering was dedicated to the accumulation of spiritual merit through the recitation of Mani and Green Tara mantras. Participants prayed for the long life of His Holiness and the continued fulfilment of His Holiness’ noble aspirations for peace, compassion, and the well-being of all sentient beings.

The event was organised by the regional Ghoton Organising Committee as part of a series of activities being held throughout the year to commemorate this significant milestone.
