Mr Dawa Tsering, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in
Taiwan, was invited to give a talk on Tibetan democracy at National
Chung Hsing University in Taichung on 26 May.During his
two-hour talk Representative Dawa Tsering spoke about Tibet history,
modern democracy and on the recent landmark election of 3rd Kalon
Tripa. He also briefed the audience about the transformation, set up and function of democratic Tibetan society in exile. About sixty students from the university were present at the talk.Mr Dawa Tsering has noticed that students took keen interest in listening his talk. National Chung Hsin University is one of the
best universities in central Taiwan and it was established in 1919.The next talk will be organised at National Tam Kang University in Taipei on 3 June.
