DHARAMSHALA: A group of international cricketers who are in the town to play Indian Premier League, a professional league for Twenty20 cricket competition in India, sought blessings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama today.The players of Kings XI Punjab headed by captain Adam Gilchrist met His Holiness at the Tsuglagkhang, the main temple in Dharamsala. Interacting with the players, His Holiness praised the peaceful co-existence and harmony among different world religious traditions in India. His Holiness the Dalai Lama said he will witness the IPL match between the Kings XI Punjab and Deccan Chargers scheduled for 21 May. His Holiness could not attend the match on 17 May as he returned the day before after a hectic 14-day visit to the United States.The players say they feel elated to play at the picturesque Dharamsala cricket stadium located in the foothills of majestic Dhauladhar mountain range. Dharamsala hosted two IPL matches on 15 and 17 May respectively.In 2010, His Holiness watched the match in the company of Chief Minister Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal, Preity Zinta, co-owner of Kings XI Punjab and Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) president Anurag Thakur.
