Tenzingang: The 41st Sakya Gongma Rinpoche visited Gyuto Monastery, Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement, Arunachal Pradesh from 14 to 15 June 2025. Hon’ble MLA Shri Tseten Chombay had requested Kyabgon Sakya Gongma Trichen Dorjee Chang Rinpoche to visit his 5-Kalaktang Assembly Constituency to shower his blessings on all the devotees of this area.
The Administrator of Tenzingang Gyuto Monastery, Ven. Jamba Tsering, and the Tibetan Settlement Officer, Rapten Tsering, had also requested Kyabgon Sakya Gongma Rinpoche to visit Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement. Accordingly, Rinpoche accepted the request. On the evening of 14 June 2025, the settlers of Tenzingang, along with the public and devotees from the neighbouring villages of Domkho, Kamalangchen, Kalaktang, Shergaon, and Jigaon, extended a grand reception to welcome Rinpoche.
On 15 June 2025, empowerment of long-life initiation of Drupthop Thangtong Gyalpo (Tsewang) was bestowed by Kyabgon Sakya Gongma Rinpoche to the general Public, followed by a public address at Gyuto Monastery. Kalaktang Assembly Constituency Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly Shri Tseten Chombay and Zilla Parishad Chairman Shri Karma Dorjee Thongdok had offered mandala to Kyabgon Sakya Gongma Rinpoche before start of long-life initiation (Tsewang)
Rinpoche had given a dharma introduction on “Ten Virtues and Ten Non-Virtues deed” The Tibetan Settlement Officer of Tenzingang had delivered a welcome speech and briefly introduced Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement. Over 3000 devotees gathered at Gyuto Monastery to receive blessings and long-life initiation (Tsewang)
Padmashree awardee Guru Tulku Rinpoche from Thubchog Gatsel Ling (TGL) Monastery Bomdila, Gongkar Dorje Denpa Rinpoche from Taiwan, Lama Ngawang Norbu from Tawang Monastery and monks were present.
MLA Shri Tseten Chombay, ZPC Shri Karma Dorjee Thongdok, ZPM Shri Tashi Wangchu, ADC Rupa Shri Lobsang Tseten, Assistant Commissioner Kalaktang Shri Pema Dorjee, Assistant Commissioner Rupa Smt. Tsering Palzom, Circle Officer Shergaon Smt. Anjali Siga, Public Leaders and Government Officials were present during teaching and long-life initiation.
On 15 June 2025, after Tsewang’s initiation, Kyabgon Sakya Gongma Rinpoche finally departed for Guwahati, Assam. The government of Arunachal Pradesh has declared Sakya Gongma Rinpoche as a State guest during his visit to Arunachal Pradesh and received all the protocol.
