
France: The Tibetan support group Le Toit du Monde celebrated its 35th founding anniversary in France on 14 June 2025. The event brought together approximately 70 members, including 9 executive members and 62 general members.
During the celebration, the association’s secretary, Crestian Sodaguet, and Daniel Regnier addressed the attendees. Kelsang Dawa, the association’s activities coordinator, was also present, along with Thupten Tsering, Coordinator of the Bureau du Tibet in Paris.
Later, the association’s President, Brigitte Lemute, presented a report reviewing the past year’s activities and outlining upcoming initiatives. The association’s accountant then provided a summary of the financial expenditures for 2024.
Following this, Thupten Tsering read a message from Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA). On behalf of the CTA and the Bureau du Tibet in Paris, he congratulated the association’s President and executive members on the occasion of the 35th founding anniversary. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude for their ongoing support of students, the elderly, and underprivileged communities in India and Nepal, as well as for their various charitable initiatives.
He went on to highlight the critical situation in Tibet, the work of the Central Tibetan Administration, and the upcoming Year of Compassion, which will mark the 90th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama (Ghoton). He emphasised the importance of the Blue Book as a symbol of solidarity and support for Tibet and the Tibetan people.
Kelsang Dawa also addressed the gathering. He provided details about the work of the Central Tibetan Administration, reiterated the serious situation in Tibet, and presented documentary videos on Tibet.
