
Brussel: International Middle Way Movement’s Belgium local chapter organised a brief workshop in Antwerp for Tibetan youth and other Tibetans residing in Belgium to introduce the Central Tibetan Administration and the importance of the Green Book contribution on 8 March 2025. The workshop also featured a debate competition on the future of the Tibetan language and the Tibetan Administration.
The event was attended by Geshe Lobsang Choephel, President of the Global Tibetan People’s Movement for the Middle Way Approach, and its Secretary, Tenzin Shenyen. The main instructor, Phuntsok Wangdue, Secretary of the Brussels Representative Office, served as the principal lecturer.
The workshop began with the national anthem, followed by a minute of silence in honour of the patriotic heroes and heroines who sacrificed their lives for Tibet. Tsering Dondup, Director of the Belgium Middle Way Approach Public Movement Office, then provided a brief introduction to the organisation’s activities.
Before the main workshop session, Geshe Lobsang Choephel and Tenzin Shenyen delivered an introduction on the development and achievements of the Middle Way Approach. Secretary Thinley Wangdue then conducted a workshop and Q&A session on the Central Tibetan Administration and the importance of the Green Book for Tibetans in exile.
The event concluded with a debate competition on the Tibetan language and the exile Tibetan administration, presided over by Tsering Dhondup, the president of International Middle Way Movement’s Belgium local chapter. The workshop was closed with a thank-you speech by the local chapter’s Secretary Lobsang Tsultrim.
