
New Delhi: The Core Group for Tibetan Cause – India (CGTC-I) convened a committee meeting on Sunday at the Bureau of His Holiness The Dalai Lama in New Delhi on 11 August 2024.
The meeting was facilitated by the India Tibet Coordination Office (ITCO) and focused primarily on the Core Group’s By-Laws governing CGTC-I.
The meeting was chaired by Shri R.K. Khrimey, National Convener of CGTC-I, and attended by prominent figures including Jigmey Jungney, Representative of the Bureau of His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Tenzin Lekshay, Additional Secretary of the Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), and National Co-Conveners Ven. Lama Chosphel Zotpa, Shri Surender Kumar, and Shri Arvind Nicose. Shri Pankaj Goyal, CGTC-I Delhi Regional Convener, was also in attendance.
The meeting commenced with a welcome address by Tashi Dekyi, Acting Coordinator of ITCO, followed by a keynote address from Shri R.K. Khrimey. The agenda included an active discussion on both new and existing suggestions from members of various TSGs in India. The discussions, enriched by the experience and dedication of the participants, generated a positive and energetic atmosphere, reinforcing the collective commitment to the cause of Tibet and the pursuit of truth.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ngawang Choden, Program Officer at ITCO, New Delhi.
CGTC-I serves as the central apex body of all Tibetan Support Groups (TSGs) across India, dedicated to advocating for the restoration of basic human rights and freedoms for the people of Tibet.
