
NEW DELHI: Senior Indian dignitaries including Mr. Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri. Ravi Thakur, MLA of Himachal Pradesh, and Shri. Tsering Namgyal Shanu, Member of minority commission and Buddhist representative, joined Tibetans in Majnutilla, New Delhi, to celebrate the third day of Tibetan New year.
The Indian leaders greeted the Tibetan community on the occasion and expressed their continued support for the Tibetan cause. Mr. Kiren Rijiju, expressed the Home Ministry’s special focus on the Tibetan exile community in India, and assured the ministry’s full cooperation to strengthen the sustainance of the Tibetan settlements.
The ceremony was organised by Samyeling Tibetan Settlement Office based in Majnu ka Tilla. Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok, a member of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, was also present at the ceremony.
