Home Department Announces Vocational Training for Unemployed Tibetan Youths[Wednesday, 29 September 2010, 10:26 a.m.]
Dharamshala: The home department of the Central Tibetan Administration has announced vocational training in job-oriented courses for the unemployed Tibetan youths. The training will commence from 17 November 2010. (Click here to read announcement)The training will be held at Institute for Small Trade Learning in Nelamangala in Bangalore, South India. Those interested in doing the training should register before 15 October at their respective settlement offices or at the Department of Home. Employment generating courses, including basic and advance courses in hair styling, medical transcription, beauty and hairdressing, carpentry and tailoring would be offered.Besides beauty therapy, carpentry and tailoring, medical transcription today has become a well-paid and highly demanded job. A beginner starts with a monthly income of around Rs. 8,000/- and as the speed and skill improve, the earnings will increase accordingly.Other courses that would be taught during the training are cookery, Microsoft certified in system engineering, computerised training for servicing of cell phones and auto mechanic and driving course.The home department said it will provide start-up soft loan for setting up of micro-enterprise after the training.
