
DHARAMSHALA: Tibetan political leader Dr. Lobsang Sangay has been invited as a distinguished speaker among a galaxy of world leaders, ambassadors, eminent journalists, writers and spiritual leaders at the prestigious India Ideas Conclave 2014 at Goa from 19-21 December.
The Harvard educated Dr. Lobsang Sangay, who became the political successor to His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 2011, will speak on the topic “Enduring Peace in South Asia” on 20 December. Other topics include Democracy in the 21st Century; Economic Reform in India – Welfare of the Last Man; Religion – Tolerance and Terror; and The New Politics and The New Media.
The Tibetan political leader will join top Indian leaders and top TV commentators including Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Power Minister Piyush Goyal, and eminent journalists and TV commentators like Chandan Mitra, Swapan Dasgupta at the conclave.
World leaders including Jordan’s former prime minister Abdelsalam Al-Majali, former prime minister of Slovenia Aloj Peterle, Former prime minister of Bhutan Jigme Y. Thinley and former prime minister of Netherlands Dr. Ruud Lubbens will be present at the conclave.
The conclave is organised by the state government of Goa and the India Foundation, an organisation with strong ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
