organised by the Tibet Museum of the Department of Information and
International Relations, Mr Tashi Phuntsok, officer in charge of the
travelling exhibition, told TibetNet. Two staff from the Tibet Museum, Mr Tenzin Rabga and Mr Penpa Tsering, will accompany the officer in charge.
The exhibition will kickoff at India’s IT capital Bangalore on 25

September; Kollegal Dhondenling Settlement on 8 – 9 September; Goa on
13-14 September and Mundgod Doeguling Settlement on 17 – 19 September.
A total of 60 panels will be exhibited, of which 35 panels portray
Tibetan life in exile for the last 50 years, and 25 panels depict the
past and present situation inside Tibet.
In the evening, Tibet related documentary films will be screened at the
respective venues.
The exhibition is a gesture of the Tibetan people’s gratitude to the
government and people of India for their generous support for the last
50 years. It also aims to mark the achievements of Tibetans in exile
under His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s leadership in building sustainable
establishments such as settlements, schools, hospitals and monasteries,
said Mr Tashi Phuntsok.
Another important objective of the exhibition is to create awareness
among Tibetans as well as Indian communities about issues related to
Tibet and its people, he added.
