Tibetans offer prayers for Ladakh flood victimsMonday, 9 August 2010, 12:15 p.m.
Dharamshala: Tibetans in Dharamsala prayed for the recent unimagined cloud burst in Ladakh which has caused great loss of lives and livestock on 5 August. The prayer session was arranged by the Department of Religion and Culture of the Central Tibetan Administration on Sunday at Tsuglagkhang in Mcleod Ganj. The prayer session was attended by about four hundred people, including monks and nuns in and around Dharamsala. Ven Tsering Phuntsok Kalon of the Department of Religion and Culture presided over the prayer session and prayed for the quick recovery of the sufferers. The Department asked various monasteries to perform prayers to relieve the pain and for the speedy recovery of the flood victims.
