MINNESOTA: Kalon Tsering Dhundup visited the Tibetan community in Minnesota as a special guest on the occasion of 54th Anniversary of Tibetan Democracy Day on 2 September.
As part of the Kashag’s campaign to raise awareness at the grass-root level, Kalon Tsering Dhundup spoke on the evolution and achievements of the Middle Way Approach (Tibetan: Umaylam) of the Central Tibetan Administration. He emphasised the need of constructive deliberations within the general public towards understanding the core meaning of the Middle Way Approach and to spread the awareness to a wider audience.
He spoke related with Dolgyal and categorically rejected their baseless allegations against His Holiness the Dalai Lama. “We must be more alert about their allegations and educate those who do not understand the history of Dolgyal,” he said.

He underlined that parents and elder generation of Tibetans have the responsibility to inculcate traditional culture and values in their children, and realisation of gratitude of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Central Tibetan Administration.
The Finance Kalon also spoke on the Green Book and responded to problems faced by Tibetans regarding the application procedures during question and answer session. He earlier spoke on the Green Book at the 13th North American Tibetan Association Conference held in Washington, DC, on 29 Aug.
