
Dharamshala: Ngodup Wangdu, former member of CTA’s Public Service Commission passed away on Monday due to Covid complications.
The Chairman, members and staff of the Public Service Commission express deep grief on the untimely demise of Mr. Ngodup Wangdu who served at CTA for four years from 6 October 2014 till 13 July 2018.

Ngodup Wangdu who is also a former TCV director began his early service in the Tibetan community as a teacher at TCV Ladakh. From 1973-1999, first as a teacher, then headmaster and director, Mr Wangdu served for more than two decades at TCV Ladakh. From 1999-2007, he served as the Director of TCV Bylakuppe, then at TCV Suja from 2007-2013 and finally as Director for Upper TCV from 2013 till 2014 when he retired. The following year, he served as a member of the Public Service Commission. Throughout his four-decade-long service to the Tibetan community and the Tibetan Children’s Village, Mr Wangdu had made it his lifelong commitment to serving the vision and mission of the Tibetan Children’s Village. In his role as teacher and director, he has been instrumental in shaping the lives of hundreds of Tibetan children and his contribution to the welfare and education of the Tibetan community has been invaluable.
