
Delhi, 4 May 2021: Starting 22 March 2021, ‘Ride for Pride’, Tsering Yeshi and Chime Tamding, the two Tibetan bikers have been on wheels for more than 40 days of the journey starting from Dharamshala through Shimla, Kullu, Manali, Solan, Paonta Sahib, Nainital, Dehradun, Delhi, Varanasi, Salugara, Sikkim, Darjeeling, and Kalimpong.
The duo reached Guwahati on 26th April 2021 followed by their arrival at Bomdila on 3rd May 2021.
Despite the rampant pandemic situation throughout India especially in metropolitan cities, the two bikers kept their ride ongoing and unperturbed – highlighting the issue of Tibet, Indo-Tibet relations, threats of Communist China’s expansionist policy and boycotting of Chinese goods for adopting ‘Make in India’ products.
While they were in Guwahati they were received by Ms. Urvashi Mahanta, State President, Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch, Guwahati, Assam and at Bomdila they were received by Secretary cum Liaison Officer, Bomdila Tibetan Community, Mr.Chisa Tselha and Members of other NGOs.
From here, they plan to move ahead Dhirang, Tawang, and then towards the southern part of India.
