The book titled ‘Chaos Under Heaven: Trump, Xi, and the Battle for the 21st Century is based on the writer’s extensive years of reporting on this issue for the Washington Post and supplemented with more than 300 additional interviews.

Chaos Under the Heaven chronicles the surprise electoral victory of Donald Trump and the events leading to the falling understanding between the US and Beijing. The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Wuhan and the unprecedented challenges posed, particularly, worsening of the US-China trade war.
