DHARAMSHALA: Mr. Penpa Tsering, Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, is visiting the US from 6-17 December. He will meet officials and address Tibetans during the upcoming 24th anniversary of His Holiness the Dalai Lama being awarded the Nobel Peace prize (Human Right Day) on 10 December.
He will address the Tibetan communities in Chicago, Minnesota, Madison, Washington D.C, New York, Connecticut and Vermont.
He is also expected to meet the Mayor of New York city and attend a luncheon meeting with board members of the International Campaign for Tibet including Chairman Richard Gere, Executive Chair Kasur Gyari Rinpoche and board members from three ICT offices during his visit.
