Canberra, Australia: The Election Commissioner, Mr. Sonam Choephel Shosur is on an official tour to Australia to address the Tibetan people about the revised electoral rules and regulations of the Tibetan election system with special reference to the amendment of the electoral system.
He arrived at Melbourne Airport on 6 September and was received and welcomed by Office of Tibet Liaison Officer, Bhawa Kalsang Gyaltsen and the new and former executive members of Tibetan Community of Australia.
The Election Commissioner imparted the revised electoral the rules and regulations of the Tibetan election system with special reference to the amendment of the electoral system to the members of Melbourne Tibetan community on 7 September.
After an hour-long talk by the election commissioner, the audience put forth questions and doubts to the election commissioner to which he answered and clarified efficiently. The hall witnessed a huge number of audience and at the end of the meeting, audience applauded for the successful and informative talk provided by the election commissioner.
Election Commissioner Sonam Shosur was welcomed at the Canberra airport by representatives of Office Tibet Tsogo Lhakpa and Lhawang Gyalpo, executive members of TIbetan community and others.

The members of the Tibetan community hosted a dinner for election commissioner. The president of the Tibetan community of Australia, Kalsang Younten thanked and gifted a token of gratitude to Sonam Choephel Shosur on behalf of all the members of the Canberra Tibetan community.
Election Commissioner Sonam Choephel Shosur visited the Office of Tibet on 8 September 2019. He will be continuing his official tour to New Castle and Sydney.
