The Tibet Policy Institute is happy to invite researchers and visiting fellows to apply for limited post at the TPI under a project to groom the Tibetan researchers.

Researchers who fulfill all the requirements will be selected through written examination and interview. Visiting fellows who fulfill all the requirements will be selected through interview only.

Following are the documents and requirements for both those who are applying for the posts of researchers and visiting fellows.

1) Researchers

Seat:     3

Period of research:   1 year (can be renewed)

Educational Background: Ability to do research either in Tibetan, Chinese and English and translate between these languages. (Graduate/Post Graduate degrees will be a plus point)

Experience: Certificates or recommendations from known research institutions that the applicant has done a research for a period of 5 years. Production of research papers during this period is a plus point.

Salary:  Monthly consolidated salary of 15,000 Rupees

2) Visiting Fellows

Seat:    3

Period of research:  2 years

Educational Background: PhD

Salary:    Monthly consolidated salary of 10,000 Rupees

3) Visiting Fellows

Seat:    2

Period of research:  1 year

Educational Background: M.Phil

Salary:    Monthly consolidated salary of 8,000 Rupees

Requirements:

1) Attested copy of Green Book and an updated letter of voluntary contribution from the local Tibetan Freedom Movement

2) Attested copies of residential permit in India.

3) Medical fitness certificate affixed with one photograph from a recognized clinic or hospital.

4) Attested copies of all educational certificates.

5) If the candidate is presently working, he or she is required to submit no objection certificates from the concerned organization.

All the submitted documents should be attested by a joint secretary and above of the Central Tibetan Administration or settlement officer. The application deadline for these posts is 14th August, 2013.
