Dharamshala – Public Service Commission of Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) hosted the inaugural ceremony of the 45 days workshop for new CTA recruited staff at Administrative Training and Welfare Society.
The workshop is organised for 45 days for induction training to 26 new CTA recruits.
The opening ceremony of the 45-day workshop was attended by Sonam Choephel Shosur, Chairman of Public Service Commission, Secretary Tsering Yangkey, Members of Public Service Commission Kalsang Youdon Dagpo, Sangye Tandar Naga, and Director of Administrative Training and Welfare Society, Tsering Dhondup.
A total number of 26 new CTA recruits participated in the inaugural ceremony of the workshop. Secretary of Public Service Commission(PSC) Tsering Yangkey introduced the syllabus to be covered during the workshop session and gave a brief introduction of respective trainers. Sangay Tandar Naga, Member of PSC gave an overview of the workshop. In addition, Kalsang Youdon Dagpo, Member of PSC delivered the introductory remarks of the workshop.
Sonam Choephel Shosur, Chairman of Public Service Commission greeted all the staff and trainees present at the inaugural ceremony. He further explained the aims and objectives of the workshop to the trainees. He reminded the trainees on the importance of the Tibetan language, not just for the preservation of Tibetan identity but also in the day-to-day workings of the administration.
He added that the staff working in the CTA has to engage mainly in Tibetan as all the documents are maintained in the Tibetan language. Therefore, this training is also to revitalize trainees’ Tibetan language skills.
Members of the Public Service Commission shared their experiences and urged the trainees to utilise the opportunity to effectively improve their knowledge and skills. They reminded the new recruits about the efforts and sacrifices made by the elder generation in the Tibetan struggle.
The inaugural ceremony of the workshop was concluded with vote of thanks by Tashi Deckyi, Staff at Public Service Commission, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA).
