Shillong: Tibetan Settlement Officer of Shillong Pema Dhondup called on Honorable Governor of Meghalaya Shri Tathagata Roy at Raj Bhavan, Shillong on 30 March.
On behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration, Settlement officer Pema Dhondup conveyed heartfelt greetings and salutation with traditional Tibetan scarf and a Tibetan souvenir.
He thanked the Indian Government and the State government for the kind hospitality and assistance rendered to Tibetans in the last six decades.
He apprised the Governor that India and Tibet share the bond of spiritual brotherhood as the wisdom of Tibetan Buddhism took its roots in the Nalanda tradition of ancient India.
The settlement officer also spoke about CTA’s Middle Way Approach to resolve the issue of Tibet through dialogue, nonviolence and peace which is mutually beneficial to both the Tibetans and Chinese.
Settlement Officer Dhondup was accompanied by Office Secretary Tsering Dorji.
