
DHARAMSHALA: Kalon Dolma Gyari called on the state chief minister and other senior functionaries concerning the welfare of Tibetans living in and around Shimla. She visited the state capital from 28 February to 2 March.
Kalon Dolma Gyari met Chief Minister Raja Virbhadra Singh to discuss important matters related to the Tibetan community, including the long-standing housing problems faced by them.
She also met V.C. Pharka, principal Secretary, and Kaul Singh Thakur, health and Revenue Minster of Himachal Pradesh. She later met chief secretary Sudripta Roy and briefed him about meeting held with the chief minister.

Kalon Dolma Gyari met Sudhir Sharma, Minister of Urban development and Town and Country Planning. They discussed ways for improvement of Himalayan Festival celebration and the minister was requested to provide alternative place for business for Tibetan doing petty businesses on roadsides in Mcleod Ganj. She called on Managing Director of Tourism Department to find ways to implement the matter discussed with the minister of urban development and town country planning.
She paid a courtesy call to Director General of Police.
Kalon Dolma Gyari received an audience with Kyapje Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, the head of the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism. She visited Tibetan scattered Community at Rangzen camp, Jonang Takten Phuntsokling Monastery, Old Age Home, Sangye Choeling camp at Sanjauli.
