
Taipei: The Representative office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetans in Taiwan jointly organised an evening prayer service on Saturday 19 January 2013 at the prayer hall of Tibet Religious Foundation of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. This prayer service was held in memory of Tsering Tashi also known as Tsebey, who died on 12 January 2013 and the latest self-immolator Tsering Phuntsok also known as Dupchok, a resident of Drachen Yultso village in Khyungchu, Ngaba who set on fire and died on the spot on 18th January 2013. The prayer service was held from 6 pm to 8 pm and about 30 Tibetans including Tibetan monks have attended the prayer service.
Mr. Dachompa, the President of Tibetan Association thanked the gathering for their participation and he further request the Tibetans in Taiwan to join more people in Tibetan Association’s future activities to express solidarity with the Tibetans in Tibet and particularly who sacrificed their lives for the cause of Tibet.
