Toronto: On the last leg of their tour, Tibetan Parliamentary delegation today met Ms. Bhutila Karpoche who recently won MPP Ontario election, becoming first Tibetan ever elected to such a position in North America.

The delegation comprised of Migyur Dorjee, Dhondup Tashi, Namgyal Dolkar and Tenpa Yarphel congratulated her for spectacular election victory and expressed that it is a proud moment for all Tibetans. The delegation requested her to work for the Tibetan people living in Toronto area. Ms. Bhutila mentioned that she has been associated with Tibetan Association of Toronto for a very long time and that she will do her best to serve the Tibetan people.

Eleven-day delegation’s tour to Canada successfully concluded today. Tsering Tashi, the Secretary, Office of Tibet accompanied the delegation to the meeting.
