DHARAMSALA: Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay has greeted Mr Taro Aso on being appointed as the new Japanese deputy prime minister. Mr Aso was appointed as the deputy prime minister and finance minister by Prime minister Shinzo Abe, who recently won the parliamentary elections.

 

“Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay congratulated new Deputy Prime Minister of Japan Mr Taro Aso and wishes him the best for his future endeavors,” a statement posted on the Sikyong’s facebook noted.

 

The Sikyong had met with Mr Taro Aso during his Japan visit in July 2012.
