
DALHOUSIE, HP: Rabten Tsering, Tibetan settlement officer of Dalhousie met Shri Jairam Thakur, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, on 1 June 2018. The settlement officer, accompanied by representatives of Tibetan organizations from the settlement, met the chief minister to present Thank You India souvenirs as part of the Thank You India campaign announced by the Kashag.
The chief minister was accompanied by Shri Kishan Kapoor, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister of Himachal Pradesh. Other dignitaries include Shri Hansraj, Deputy Speaker of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Shri D S Thakur, district BJP President of Chamba, Shri Bikram Singh Jaryal, MLA Bhattiyat, Shri Pawan Nayyar, MLA Chamba, and Shri Pappu Chadda, president of Municipal Council of Dalhousie. The chief minister and the delegation were at the circuit house for an official visit to the area.
The Dalhousie handcraft center presented a 3 x 6 Tibetan carpet as a token of gratitude of the Tibetan people. They also apprised the chief minister of the problems faced by the Handicraft center in both written and verbally.
Students of the Sambhota school in Dalhousie also presented cultural performances of Yak and Snow Lion dances to the chief guest and dignitaries.
