
BANGALORE: The Department of Finance’s Social and Resource Development Fund (SARD) is organising a workshop on “Empowering Tomorrow’s Entrepreneur” for 46 trainees who are learning small trade skills at Institute of Small Trade Learning Center at Neelamangala, Bangalore, under Youth Empowerment Support (YES) program, from 24 – 28 December.
The workshop aims to raise self-esteem and confidence of the trainees, to develop their communication skills, to inform the participants on revolving fund loan (under YES), to create awareness on women empowerment, inspire them to set higher goals and to build their entrepreneurship skills so that they can work towards becoming self-reliant after completion of their respective courses.
Mr Karma Sengye, Chief Representative, South settlements will give a key note speech at the workshop. The resource persons are Dr. B Tsering, member of Tibetan Parliament in Exile, Mr Tenzin Wangyal, coordinator with fostering of Tibetan Entrepreneurship project, Technoserve, Mr Chokur, an ISTL alumnus working as medical transcript in Bangalore, Mr Damdul, ISTL administrator and Ms Tenzin Tseyang, an official from Women Empowerment Desk, SARD.
