CHAUNTRA: Tibetans in Diaspora are organising campaigns to draw the international community’s attention to the escalating tragedy in Tibet and express solidarity with Tibetans inside Tibet.
Tibetans living in Chauntra and Bir settlement near Dharamsala in northern India on Friday morning organised a day-long special prayer service for all those Tibetans who have immolated for the cause of Tibet. The Nangchen society offered 100 butter lamps as a mark of respect for the self-immolators.
“We are sending our message of solidarity to our brethren inside Tibet, that we stand in unity with them,” Tenzin Rabga, Tibetan settlement, told TibetNet website.
The prayer service was organised by Drikung Kagyue Bhumang Jampaling in Chauntra and Peme Aawam Gyurmeling Monastery in Bir.
