YOKOHAMA: His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived in Japan today for 10-day visit. He was welcomed by Representative Lhakpa Tshoko, the local Tibetan community and friends of Tibet at the Narita International airport. He was later received at the Intercontinental Hotel by Ven. Yukei Matsunaga, chief abbot of Koyasan monastery.
Speaking to TibetNet, Mr Lhakpa Tshoko, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama for Japan & East Asia said, His Holiness is visiting Japan from 3-13 November and will give a series of public teachings, meetings and discussions with scientists, the press and other important personalities.
His Holiness will give public teachings on Eight Verses of Training the Mind and will give a public talk on Nurturing the Heart: Developing Better Relationships for a Healthy, Happy Society at the Yokohama city hall on 4 November, he said.
His programmes also include discussions with Japanese scientists on Buddhist Inner Science and External Science in Tokyo as well as public talks and meetings with local leaders and interviews with various media organisation.
