Dharamshala: The members of the 5th Local Tibetan Assembly of Gangtok were sworn in on 15 October 2025 at the hall of the Tibetan Settlement Office.

The oath was administered by the Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner of the Northern Region, Choekyi. During the ceremony, she virtually introduced herself and provided a brief session on legal awareness to the attendees.

Out of the 15 newly elected members, 14 took the oath. Among them, Jinpa Phuntok and Oshod Rigzin Lhamo were elected as President and Vice President, respectively.

The ceremony was coordinated by the Tibetan Settlement Officer and Local Election Commissioner, Tsering Damdul.
