Dharamshala: On 14 December 2025, the 12th Local Tibetan Assembly of Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement was officially sworn in during a brief ceremony coordinated by Tibetan Settlement Officer and Local Election Commissioner Rapten Tsering.

The ceremony was attended by the newly elected members, the former Chairman and Vice Chairman, four members of the previous Local Tibetan Assembly, and two staff members from the Tibetan Settlement Office.

The oath was administered virtually by the Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner of the Northern Region, Choekyi. Among the nine newly elected members, Tashi Rabten and Tenzin Khado were elected as the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Assembly, respectively.

During the ceremony, the Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner also provided an introduction to the relevant provisions of the Charter of Tibetans in Exile concerning local assemblies and election regulations.
