Bandhara: On 26 September 2025, the 12th Local Tibetan Assembly of Norgyaling Tibetan Settlement in Bhandhara was officially sworn in. Out of the nine elected new members, eight took their oath of office virtually before the Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner of the Southern Region, Phuntsok Palden.

Among them, Tsering Dorjee was elected as President and Lobsang Dhonyoe as Vice President.

The ceremony was held in presence of the Local Tibetan Election Commissioner cum Tibetan Settlement Officer Tenzin Tsangpa, the other members of Local Tibetan Election Commission, and staff from the Norgyaling Tibetan Settlement Office.

Following the ceremony, the Local Justice Commissioner Phuntsok Palden provided an introduction to the relevant sections of the Charter of Tibetans in Exile concerning local assemblies and election regulations.
