Dharamshala: The 11th Local Tibetan Assembly of the Sakya Tibetan Society Settlement in Puruwala was sworn in on 22 April 2025. The oath-taking ceremony was administered by Choekyi, the Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner of the Northern Region.

Among the nine newly elected members, Tsering Thinley and Penpa Dolma were appointed as President and Vice President of the 11th Local Tibetan Assembly, respectively.

The ceremony was attended by Tibetan Settlement Officer Tenzin Namgyal, who also serves as the local Tibetan election commissioner, alongside members of the local election commission and staff from the settlement office.

As part of the event, the Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner also conducted a legal awareness session for those in attendance.
