11th Local Tibetan Assembly of Paonta Cholsum Tibetan Settlement Sworn in

Dharamshala: The 11th Local Tibetan Assembly of the Paonta Cholsum Tibetan Settlement was sworn in on 13 April 2025. The oath of office was administered by Choekyi, the Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner of the Northern Region.

Of the 11 newly elected members, 10 were present and took the oath during the ceremony. Among them, Sherab Gyatso and Tsering Tenpa were elected as the President and Vice President of the Assembly, respectively.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Settlement Officer Gelek Jamyang, along with members of the local Tibetan election commission and staff from the Paonta Tibetan Settlement Office.

During the event, the Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner also conducted a legal awareness session.
