Kathmandu: As directed by the Central Election Commission, Phakshing and Jawakhel settlements observed the oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected members of the 10th local Tibetan Assembly.
Acting Chief Justice Commissioner Karma Dadul appointed Nepal’s Office of Tibet, Representative Tsepri Lopan Ngawang Chokdup as the temporary local Justice Commissioner to administer the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected members.
The ceremony for Phakshing settlement was observed at the Office of Tibet, Nepal in the morning of 16 December with the swearing in of 10 members and out of them President Lobsang Rabgyal and Vice-president Pema Tsewang were elected.
In the afternoon, the swearing-in ceremony for Jawakhel Samdupling was observed with 12 members sworn in. Tsering Namgyal and Sonam Tashi were elected President and Vice-President respectively amongst them.
