Workshop Participants introduced to the Financial Operation of the Tibetan Administration

Dharamshala: Lobsang Nyandak Zayul, Kalon for the Finance and Information and International Relations of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), gave a broad outline on policies and operation of the Finance Department of the CTA to over 100 Tibetan students from various schools across India attending a week-long workshop yesterday.
Kalon mentioned that the Finance Department carries out its work, based on non-violence, eco-friendly, sustainability and those which are beneficial to the poorest of the poor.
Kalon also gave an interesting visual presentation of past and present year’s budget, deficit and surplus of fund, sources and use of the CTA’s fund.
Besides introduction of the activities of his department, Kalon emphasised on the importance of education and moral values of youth today since they are the future seeds and builders of Tibet.
The talk concluded with questions and answers session. The students took active part in it and showed their awareness and thoughtful interest in financial plans and operations of the CTA.
