Dharamshala: The Department of Education of the Central Tibetan Administration gave a workshop on the Basic Education Policy (BEP) to about 28 Tibetan school pricipals, headmasters and headmistress from 3 to 7 January.
The workshop was conducted at the College for Higher Tibetan Studies, near here in Dharamshala.
The participants were from the Tibetan Children’s Village, Dharamshala, and the Musssorie-based Tibetan Homes Foundation.

The Education Department has hired resource persons, who specialized in the education policies, including Dr. Ramu Manivanna, Dr.Claude Alvares, and Mr. Manju Sinjhania.
Kalon Tripa Samdhong Rinpoche also talked with the participants and answered their queries regarding the BEP adopted by his Kashag.
The Kalon for the Education Department, Thubten Lungrik and secretary Karma Gelek Yuthok briefed them on the BEP.
Yesterday the workshop concluded with an address and distribution of certificates to the participants by the Education Kalon.
