Dharamshala: The Global Campaign of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) aims to raise awareness and inspire actions to eliminate violence in all its forms. Joining this initiative, the Women’s Empowerment Desk under the Department of Finance collaborated with 12 Tibetan settlements across India and organised various events to promote awareness about sexual and gender-based violence(SGBV) in their community, to challenge the attitudes that perpetuate and normalise violence and to voice against gender-based violence.
The following settlements took different initiatives to observe the 16 Days’ campaign: TSO Dalhousie, Mainpat, Norgyeling, Dharamsala, Paonta, Bir Botsok, Dehradun, Kollegal, Hunsur Rabgayling, Mainpat, Puruwala, and Mundgod.
This activity is part of the TSRR program supported by USAID.
