Dharamsala, 12 January 2004: The Central Tibetan Administration yesterday hosted a dinner reception to welcome Raja Virbhadra Singh to Dharamsala, the winter capital of the state.
Raja Virbhadra arrived at the Gangkyi staff mess at around eight in the evening yesterday. Mr. Namgyal Tsering and Mr. Lobsang Khedup, the Justice Commissioners of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission, Kalon Tripa of the Central Tibetan Administration along with his cabinet colleagues greeted the Chief Minister with Tibetan ceremonial scarves. The Chief Minister spent nearly two hours with the Kashag and officials of the Central Tibetan Administration.
Also present for the reception were Shrimati Chandresh Kumari, Health Minister, Shri Vijai Singh Mankotia, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister and Shri G.S Bali, Transport Minister.
Earlier on Friday, the members of the Kashag attended the state’s official reception in lower Dharamsala. Dharamsala will function as the state’s secretariat from 9 January to 24 January 2004.
