Vice Chair of Tibetan Legislature Addresses Foreign Students in Shimla

Dharamshala, 16 August 2005– The vice-chairperson of the Assembly of the Tibetan People’s Deputies (ATPD), Gyari Dolma, today addressed a large gathering of foreign students at the Kalibari Hall in the capital town of Himachal Pradesh state.
Two other members of the ATPD, Geshe Thubten Phelgye and Ngawang Lhamo, accompanied Gyari Dolma in this “Welcome Function of Foreign Students” organised by the state office of the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in Shimla.
The ABVP is a student wing of the Bhartiya Janta Party and regarded by many as the largest student group in India.
