The Department of Education, CTA, is pleased to announce the United World College Scholarship for Entry 2025, allowing Tibetan students to study International Baccalaureate (11th & 12th standard equivalent) at 18 United World Colleges (UWC). The Department of Education, CTA, is partnering with the UWC Committee in India in its selection of Tibetan students.
Application Process
1. Interested applicant should submit initial application by 17 October 2024 via this link: https://forms.gle/nkku1Shp6hrCdk5x8
2. Complete the application form by 27 October 2024 from the invitation link processed by the DoE. Note that the applicant will receive invitation link from UWC India.
3. Applicant must submit Parent Declaration and School Declaration by 27 October 2024 via this link: https://forms.gle/YVNV5yAEzxwSb2Fv6
4. UWC will shortlist candidates and shortlisted candidates will be called for final interview.
Eligibility & Documents Required:
1. The applicant must be a Tibetan refugee student. The applicant and his/her parents’ must have Green Book contributions till March 2024. Upload settlement office-stamped “Form A”.
2. Applicant must be in Class X or XI, born between 01 September 2007 and 01 September 2009. Upload a Birth Certificate.
3. Complete and upload UWC Application Forms:
I. Parent/Guardian Declaration Form:
The applicant must fill in the form. Parents/Guardians details and consents are required.
To be filled by the applicant’s teacher/ faculty member who has been nominated by the applicant. After filling out this form, the form should be printed on school letterhead, stamped (official stamp), and scanned for upload.
4. Upload a comprehensive academic report card: Attested marksheet/transcripts for grades IX (Mandatory) and Grade X (If available).
5. Upload a recent passport-sized photograph.
6. Upload a scanned copy of a valid IC or IC receipt.
7. Applicant must have studied Tibetan language until Class X or pass the Tibetan Language Proficiency Test (TLPT) to be conducted by DoE on 22 October 2024.
