Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche was speaking at a press conference called by the 12th Kashag marking the Kalon Tripa’s day of oath taking two years ago. Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche and his three Kalons read out the statements in Tibetan which were also available in English for the non Tibetan media. The other Kalons spoke about their Departments’ activities and plan of action.
In his introductory remark, the Kalon Tripa said that he chose this day in 2001 as his oath taking day after he became the first directly elected Kalon Tripa of the Central Tibetan Administration because he wanted to keep alive the identity of a teacher in him.
