Dharamshala: The closing ceremony of the two-month Intensive Tibetan Studies Program at Library of Tibetan Works and Archives (LTWA) was held at the auditorium of Sager Science Centre on 30 May.
The event was attended by Secretary Chime Tseyang, Department of Religion and Culture, as a chief guest, along with LTWA’s Director Geshe Lhakdor, General Secretary Ngawang Yeshi, Department heads and participants of the workshop.
Following the lamp-lighting by the chief guest, Director Geshe Lhakdor elucidated the workshop’s objectives to the gathering. Afterwards, the participants were given certificates by Secretary Chime Tseyang.
Apart from this, four participants of the two-month workshop shared their experiences and the other two presented poem-recitation during the event. The closing ceremony was then concluded with a vote of appreciation from LTWA’s General Secretary.
The two-Month Intensive Tibetan Studies Program has been conducted annually at LTWA since 2011 to illuminate Tibetan college graduates on Tibetan Language and culture. In the recently concluded 12th Intensive Tibetan Studies Program funded by the USAID agency, 14 male and 12 female Tibetan youths have participated.
