At the Tibetan community hall, Mrs. Lhakpa Dolma (TSO), addressed the gathering with this year’s theme topic, “Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience,” highlighting the pressing water issues that settlement faces. She emphasised the settlement’s water problem and pledged to convene local dignitaries to discuss and offer suggestions for solving it.

Ngawang Chokdup, an agricultural consultant, presented the waste segregation initiative proposed by the local environmental committee to tackle the area’s waste management challenges. He not only explained the process but also actively encouraged community participation.
A total of 26 members from co-operative societies and welfare groups and 250 local people attended the celebration event.
